Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘r’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘r’.
Makaton – This is a language using signs and symbols; we are going to learn ‘good / well done/very good’
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been observing ladybirds; we have larvae, pupa’s and ladybirds in our garden. The children have been using a magnifying glass to investigate! Some of the children took part in the Toddler Race at the school sports day. We’ve been blow painting and observing what happens to the paint when it blends together.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we are going to be creating ladybirds including ladybird biscuits. We will also measure our sunflowers. Our pumpkins are growing quickly! We have strawberries, cucumbers, pumpkins, beans and peas growing in our garden, please come and take a look! We still have pumpkin seeds if you would like some.
Garden Makeover – We will soon be having a garden makeover. Watch this space! We will be displaying our plans for the garden area in the next few weeks.
Missing – Please can you check at home as we have a missing Preschool bag, it is named – Elliott and has been missing for a few weeks now. We would really appreciate your help in locating it. Thank you.
Sunsafe – We would like to confirm that we have awarded Sun Safe Nursery Status for implementing the Sun Safe Nursery policy and teaching the children about sun safety.

18th June from 9.00am – 10.00am Stay & Play sessions
Week commencing 24th June – Happy chicks arrive
27th June from 9.00am – 10.00am Stay & Play sessions Parents, carers and Grandparents are welcome to our Stay & Play sessions, you have the opportunity for an insight into your child’s day.
NEW: 18th July 1.00pm – 3.15pm Pre-school Party: If your child is not in on this day you can book your child into the Preschool session or you can come in and stay with your child.
NEW: 19th July 1.45pm – Leavers Parents Only: You are invited into the Playhouse at 1.45pm.
Parent Activities – Here is a fun activity to share with your child this weekend: Making playdough. Here’s the recipe.
2 cups of plain flour
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
0.5 cup of salt
2 tablespoons of cream of tartar
1 to 1.5 cups of water … add slowly
Food colouring Few drops of glycerine
