Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had a lovely week in pre-school filled with learning, creativity, and lots of fun.
Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED)
This week the children have been discussing their feelings and learning how different emotions affect us. They shared ideas, listened to one another, and explored ways to express themselves in a positive and supportive environment.
Communication & Language
Through group discussions and shared conversations, the children developed their confidence in speaking and listening while talking about their emotions and interests.
Understanding the World
We explored Arctic animals and used a globe to investigate where they live in the world. The children showed great curiosity when learning about cold climates and animal habitats.
Physical Development
The children have been developing their fine motor skills through scissor control activities, helping to build hand strength and coordination.
Expressive Arts & Design
We created winter-themed artwork using a variety of materials, allowing the children to express their creativity while having fun.
Learning Through Play
Throughout the week, the children enjoyed plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and learn together.
Looking Ahead to Next Week
Next week the children will be: Baking cakes / Feeding the birds / Taking part in simple woodwork activities
Important Information
If your child has had a disturbed night’s sleep or is not feeling at their best, we kindly ask that you inform a member of staff. This enables us to support their individual needs effectively by providing appropriate rest opportunities, calm activities, and additional care where required.

Pick up Time – A Further Reminder
Just a gentle reminder that our preschool sessions finish at 3:15pm from Monday to Thursday and 2:15pm on Fridays. We kindly ask that children are collected promptly at these times. We completely understand that the occasional delay can happen 🚗💨 — if you think you may be running late, please give us a call as soon as possible so we can reassure your child 🤍
