Cold Weather & Staying Healthy
We began the week with some very chilly temperatures, so we’ve been wrapping up warm. There are lots of colds circulating at the moment, and we’re doing everything we can to reduce the spread of germs. Toys are thoroughly cleaned and run through the dishwasher, and all areas are kept sanitised throughout the day.
Developing Hygiene Skills
We’ve been supporting the children to:
• Wipe their noses with tissues
• Put used tissues in the bin
• Wash their hands afterwards
• Sneeze into their arm rather than their hands
We would really appreciate your support in encouraging these good habits at home too.
Story of the Week: Little Red Riding Hood
The children loved listening to Little Red Riding Hood and enjoyed taking part in related crafts and activities.
Planting Spring Bulbs
We had a wonderful time planting spring bulbs and learning about what plants need in order to grow.
Exploring Emotions
Through stories and play, we explored different feelings and expressions, helping the children better understand and share their emotions.
Christmas Song Practice
We’ve started practising our Christmas songs—please feel free to enjoy them together at home to help build the festive excitement!
A Little Reminder: Chickenpox
We still have a few cases of chickenpox at the Playhouse. If your child is feeling unwell, please keep an eye out for any spots. Thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy!
