We have had such a lovely week at preschool! The weather has been delightful, and we took every chance to enjoy the outdoors. The children have been busy exploring, creating, and learning through play.
This Week at Preschool
Creative Time: The children used a mixture of paints and collage materials to create some amazing autumn trees. They enjoyed exploring colours and textures and proudly shared their masterpieces with friends.
Circle Time: We talked about our feelings and how sometimes they can make us all mixed up. The children shared their own experiences and learnt ways to recognise and talk about their emotions.
Maths Fun: We practised counting with conkers, explored shapes, and even played a fun game of bowling! The children loved seeing how far the conkers rolled and counting how many skittles they knocked down.
Roar Stars: On Wednesday, the children were amazing during our Roar Stars session. They practised gross motor skills, balance, and listening games—it was a brilliant session full of energy and smiles.
Outdoor Play: Autumn leaves gave us plenty of opportunities for fun! The children worked together to gather leaves, noticing the colours, shapes, and sounds as they crunched underfoot.
Looking Ahead to Next Week
We will be introducing some exciting woodwork using hammers and nails, helping the children build confidence and coordination.
The children will create pictures with conkers, exploring patterns and developing their fine motor skills.
Storytelling and role play activities will help spark imaginations and build language skills.
And of course, plenty more fun, play, and learning opportunities both inside and outdoors!
