Our adventures at the Playhouse this week…
We’ve had an exciting and hands-on week full of learning, creativity, and a little bit of wildlife rescue!
Drilling & Threading – This week, the children used a palm drill to carefully make holes in conkers, building on fine motor skills and practicing hand-eye coordination. Once they drilled the holes, they threaded pipe cleaners through the conkers, creating fun, autumnal crafts. During this activity, we also learned about trees, exploring what grows on them and even took a peek inside the conkers to see what they look like.
A Surprise Hedgehog Guest – We had a special visitor this week—a poorly hedgehog who needed a little extra care. The children were very gentle and curious, learning about the importance of taking care of wildlife. Our little hedgehog friend was sent to the vet for some help, and, to our surprise, a few baby hoglets were also found and have been safely rescued. The children were thrilled to hear about the hoglets’ safe rescue and are eager for updates on their recovery.
We’re looking forward to more adventures and discoveries next week!
See you next week for Halloween fun!
