Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been exploring Autumn and have been creating some beautiful handprints to add to our display. We have finished planting out daffodil bulbs ready for spring. The assault course has been in action with balancing, jumping and problem solving. Walking to the woods was a delight, the weather was perfect with lots of sounds and woodland sights. James was very keen to see the fox from the Gruffalo, unfortunately we didn’t today.
We read the colour monster and chatted about our feelings. Observed our Artic scene, watching and learning about ice.
Forest School – In Forest School we read A New House for Mouse. It was all about an apple. We talked about apples and how they grow. We cut open some apples to have a look inside. We then used them to create patterns and mix autumnal colours. The children then explored the sounds and used sticks to bang and rub together.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week, we will be creating hedgehogs, experimenting with movements, and acting out the Billy Goats Gruff story.
