Dear Parents / Carers

Sanitiser – Please can you sanitise your hands before pressing the buzzer at the gate as we head into the colder weather. Thank you .. let’s work together to reduce the risk of infection.
AGM – We would like to invite you to our AGM on Tuesday 27th September at 7.00pm at the Playhouse. We look forward to seeing you.
Committee – Would you like to join our committee? We are always looking for new members and we also have a vacancy for our Treasurer role. Please contact our Chair, Pip Power if you are interested.
Playhouse Activities This Week – We have reinacted the Billy Goats Gruff story using our puppets. We’ve been learning the repeated phrases including ‘Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge’.
The vets have been extremely busy with a rabbit with a poorly tummy and dogs with broken bones. Spring bulbs are starting to be planted around the garden. Our tomato plants were placed in the compost bin by Felix.
The Playhouse has been very busy with baking cupcakes. There has been measuring and learning about where eggs, butter, sugar, and flour come from. On Wednesday sports with Richard, from 11.00am – 11.45am, the children were superheroes using their superpowers.
We have also been marble painting using a variety of colours. The children concentrating hard on keeping the marble in the tray.
Forest School – In Forest School we looked at webs and met Walter the Pom Pom Spider. We read Walter’s Wonderful Web and looked at shapes. Using sticks, cones, conkers, and wood the children created a web for Walter. They explored the shapes, textures, and colours. They drew around the wooden shapes and created their own spiders. How wonderful!!!
Cotton – Do you have any old plain cotton or linen fabric? This could be an old cotton sheet, as long as it’s clean, holes are not a problem! We would like to use it to make our Hapa zome creations, making patterns using natural resources and plain cotton or linen will be perfect for this.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We will carry on with our baking for the children who haven’t yet baked. We will be creating some craft for our Autumn display. We will be practising our balancing skills with our balance boards and steppingstones. Our visit to the woods will be on Thursday morning due to the closure on Monday (The Queens funeral).
Harvest Service – Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately we will have to cancel the harvest service at the church.

Please do not leave the gate open or hold the gate open for the next parent, this isn’t being rude, it’s just being safe.
