Dear Parents / Carers
COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. Thank you for your help!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been playing ‘turn taking’ games; the children especially liked the rocket game and ladybird game. The children were very keen to draw their own treasure maps this week using all their own ideas and they were very interested in this activity! Some of the children have enjoyed playing on the interactive Light & Flight Discovery Globe looking at the planet, the different oceans, and countries, we will continue with this theme next week .
Thank you to everyone who came to the teddy bears picnic, it was lovely to see so many of you and to have a lovely chat and catch up! We hope you enjoyed seeing what a magical time the children have at preschool!
Forest School – In Forest School this week we read The Snail Trail because a snail had a picnic and ate our sunflowers. The children made tea using bags, herbs, and flowers and used their senses to explore colours and smells. The children shared the tea pots and spoons. After mixing the tea some children made a sensory bag and filled it with bay, lemon balm, rosemary, lavender and rose petals. The smell was amazing!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will extend the children’s interest in treasure maps and pirates; we’ll have pirate role play, number, and shape hunts around the garden! And the children can create their own treasure maps and treasure chests with junk modelling!
