Reminder – Face Coverings – Thank you for your help so far .. please ensure you wear a face covering when you come into the Playhouse unless you are exempt. We have face coverings if you need one.

Playhouse Activities This Week – We had a prickly visitor at the Playhouse this week. The children were amazed to see a hedgehog have a sleep in our literacy den.
This week we created Reindeer food ready for Santa and the Reindeers to find their way to your homes. The Reindeer biscuits looked fantastic with lots of variations. The dinosaur puzzle was a popular game, children learning shapes and waiting patiently for their turn! We worked on phonics, connecting letters to sounds. We visited the Almshouses and sang Christmas songs to the residents. It was lovely, with a very Christmassy feel. The children also received a Christmas chocolate!
The residents of the Almshouses really enjoyed their visit, gift and card from the children: Anne phoned up straight after to say thank you so much and it meant a great deal! And here’s a lovely message from Nancy.
Forest School – In Forest school this week we read T’was the Night Before Christmas, and we talked about lots of exciting traditions for Christmas Eve. The children then collected some greenery to make their own natural decoration with sparkles and bells. Happy Christmas everyone!
Playhouse Activities Next Term – Next term we are looking at people who help us. Our first week will be Doctors, nurses, and paramedics.
