Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – There were spooky things going on in OOSC this week. On Monday the children arrived at the Playhouse and the room was decorated with pom-pom spiders, pumpkins, monsters, and cobwebs – these were made by the children the previous Friday. We continued making Halloween pom-poms throughout the week and held a Halloween colouring competition – well done to our winner Dylan who won a pumpkin! On Wednesday we had a pumpkin treasure hunt, disco, and party games outside in the garden. On Thursday evening we had a pyjama and film night, we watched Luca. We also decorated spooky monster cupcakes.
After Half Term – After half term we will be having bonfire night activities and we will make popcorn on the fire. We will be celebrating Diwali; the festival of light and we will have lots of fun.
Zoolab – We will be having a visit from Zoolab on Wednesday 10th November from 3.45pm – 4.45pm.
Nearly New Sale – Don’t forget to contact Rachel Higginbotham or Alexa Hall if you are interested in their Nearly New Sale being held in November.
Firework Safety – With many organised Firework displays cancelled again this year, many families will be going it alone at home. Do you know how to buy fireworks safely and avoid unlicensed sellers? Do you know what precautions to take to avoid a serious accident? What would you do if the worst happened? If you would like any help or guidance, please visit the Child Accident Prevention Trust website: Firework Safety | Home | Child Accident Prevention Trust (capt.org.uk)
Have a lovely Half term and Halloween!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
