Dear Parents / Carers
Playhouse Activities This Week – Roarstars returned this week .. It’s fantastic to have Richard back, the children zoomed of into space in their rocket and used footballs to catch the aliens. They used balancing and jumping techniques. They followed the instructions Richard gave them and really enjoyed their space adventure!
The children have been working on their cutting skills this week, cutting cabbage and magazines. The sandpit is looking a lot healthier, Kester was a superstar helping to fill the wheel barrels of old sand and then helped refill with nice clean sand.
Cosmic yoga brought some calm and tranquillity to the playhouse, the children joined in with the hungry caterpillar.
Forest School – In Forest school this week we talked about autumn and the changes of the leaves. We looked at the blackberries and talked about who eats them. Birds and insects and us too in a crumble! The children used conkers and corks to squish the berries and petals to make a pattern. We then blew bubbles into the wind. What fun!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will continue with making shortbread so that all the children have a go! We will be doing lots of autumn activities!
Home activity – This week we have had a great response from our home activity…. We hope that you have enjoyed having little helpers to do your dishes with you! This week Millie has been doing some fantastic washing up at home! What a superstar!
We really appreciate you taking part in our activities as parent partnership is very important to us, please don’t forget to share your participation and pictures with us!
This week our home activity is called “a walk to the park” we hope you enjoy a walk to the park with your child, we would love to see what you and your child find at the park and you are welcome to bring some natural objects you have found on your adventure to show us! Or perhaps share some photos from your park trip on your child’s tapestry for them to show us and their friends too!
We have also added “the magic coat flip” onto tapestry as a super useful top tip now the weather is getting colder .. it’s a great way for your child to put their own coat on!
