Dear Parents / Carers
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Testing for COVID – If your child goes for a COVID test, please don’t forget to let us know. We need to report any cases to our Early Years Team for Track & Trace purposes and where required, we will notify parents, carers and staff if they need to self-isolate. This is really important to ensure that we can keep each other, our families and our staff safe. Thank you.

This Week – Following on from Birdwatch at the weekend we have had a bird and wildlife theme this week in the OOSC. We made bird feeders using apples and seeds, we hung these from the trees in our garden and we hope we can encourage more birds to visit. We used carrots in paint to make robin prints. We also left some bird food in sand which we left outside … we wanted to see if any birds left their tracks. We made and baked salt dough hedgehogs at the beginning of the week as practice for when we made our hedgehog bread on Wednesday. Everyone enjoyed eating their homemade bread. The children also had fun with junk modelling and we also used wrapping paper to wrap boxes.
Next Week – Next week we will be carrying out Chinese New Year activities and also Valentines celebrations for the ‘person you love’.
Have a lovely weekend! Stay safe and well!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
