Dear Parents / Carers
Important Updates:
Social Distancing – This is just a polite reminder that we all still need to socially distance when arriving at the Playhouse, this includes our Playhouse staff when they collect and drop off your child. Please remain behind the ‘safe’ social distance line on the path. Thank you.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been busy making cupcakes; We have enjoyed building on shape recognition and arranging shapes. We have been doing woodwork. In the garden we have been planting some bulbs. The children have made a fantastic assault course, and constructions using crates and planks. We have been singing and learning fantastic nursery rhymes! We have been in small groups too, playing turn taking games! We have been building on the children’s fine motor skills through sensory play; we enjoyed cutting lettuce and hammering golf tees into watermelons!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will start to look at the season changes of autumn. We will keep planting bulbs with the children! We will also extend the children’s interest in shapes, we will explore shape hunting and we will look for environmental shapes!
Next Week – Sound of the Week – Next week our sound of the Week will be ‘a’. We will use resources from the playhouse as we are not yet able to accept items from home.
Library Books – Next week we will be sending one book home for your child from our library which they can keep for the week! Please remember to bring books back so we can swap them. The books will be quarantined when they come back following COVID guidelines.
An Urgent request – Please can you check your child’s fleece and make sure you have the correct one at home. All fleeces should be named and we have one missing. If you have a fleece with a label of ‘Fitzjohn’, please can you let us know and bring it with you next time you are at the Playhouse. Many thanks.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
