Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘t’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘t’.
Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘more’.
Playhouse Activities This Week – It has been extremely busy this week. We’ve had lots of new starters settling into Preschool which is going very well. This week we have been baking cupcakes, measuring, stirring and learning about where our food comes from. We have been experimenting with colour mixing. We’ve created lots of obstacles with crates. We’ve been doing our Cosmic yoga to calm our minds and relax. We’ve also enjoyed new sand in the sand pit!!
Forest School This Week – Today was our first visit into our fantastic new Forest school area! We sat for the Gruffalo story in the sun with amazing actions! We looked at different types of wood, made snakes with wool and experimented with different colours! We painted a very large branch and the children also found natural objects to decorate our weaving frame!
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we will be making jam tarts for our association with circles. We will be creating rainbows for semi circles and bunting for our triangles! We will be going on an environmental shape hunt around the garden. In woodwork we will be using different screwdrivers and we’ll be experimenting with different movements to sounds. Tiny Tykes will be visiting for a trial session on Tuesday & we’ll be having ball games and football through a story.
Junk Modelling & Newspapers – Please feel free to bring in any clean recycling and/or newspapers for junk modelling.
Invoices Autumn Term – Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay of your Autumn term invoices, it’s been a very busy start to the term! Remaining invoices will be issued next week and your first instalment will be due on 30th September.
No Cash – Just a reminder that if you are paying for items for the Playhouse, please make your payments by BACS as we are no longer accepting cash. Thank you for your help!
Starting school in September 2020 – You can now register for a school place for your child if they are starting in September 2020. You can apply online from the 12th September to the 15th January 2020 for Primary school applications. If you require a hard copy please contact the Admissions Team. Dates for your Diaries – here are a few new dates for your diary, there will be more to follow:
8th December – Wreath Making – Sunday afternoon 1
11th December @ 2.00pm – Christmas Service at church – parents, grandparents, friends and relatives, all welcome to attend.
