Dear Parents / Carers
Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – We will start again after the Summer break!
Makaton – These will also start again next term!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we went to Bugtopia, what a great day out. The children were amazing and we had lots of fun! We’ve done lots ‘bug’ activities and have been spotting lots of bugs and living creatures in the garden.
Forest School This Week – In Forest school today we celebrated the summer season and the children made a summer crown, they used flowers, leaves and feathers collected from our wonderful garden. We talked about the different seasons and what made each of them special.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week is our last week of term. We have the Preschool party on Thursday from 1.00pm –3.15pm. If your child isn’t normally in on a Thursday and you would like them to attend, please let us know by Monday. On Friday, it’s our last day of term. Leavers Parents only, you are invited into the Playhouse at 1.45pm, they’ll be a surprise for you .. you won’t want to miss it.
Reminder: Tapestry Rising Fives – We will have your child’s Tapestry updates available for you to download. We won’t be adding any more items onto Tapestry this term, so you can download your child’s information when you are ready. This will be available until September.
Summer Weather – Polite but Urgent reminder – Please can you ensure your child is sun safe and ready for the sunny days … please can you apply sun cream before your child comes into the Playhouse each morning, we will re-apply at lunchtime but, applying sun cream to children first thing takes a long time. Please can you also send your child with a hat. We ran out of Playhouse hats yesterday. Thank you for your help.
Slippers – Please can you make sure you take home your child’s slippers at the end of next week. If they need replacing for next term, please could you provide plimsoles or croc style shoes, these will be much cooler for the children. Thank you.
Wellbeing – Next term we are going to include well-being and involvement into our everyday activities, please read the attached information to give you an insight to this new assessment.
Come & Share – Do you know anyone who lives locally that could spare us some time? Any grandparents, friends … would they like to share a story, bake, woodwork or other activities. Please let us know.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
