Colour of the Week – Our next colour is RED! Please can your child bring in a RED item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we’ve been very busy making chocolate Hedgehog cakes, your children have had great fun, getting all sticky and chocolatey!! We’ve been talking to the children about how some animals are getting ready for winter and hibernation. We’ve also been looking at healthy foods and have created a Healthy Food Chart.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we’ll be outside carrying out Road Safety activities. We’ll be car parking, using zebra crossings, using the bikes and cars, all to raise awareness. We will be making dens inside to initiate talking of hibernation and will be making a home to hibernate in! If you have any old blankets, pegs etc.. please feel free to send them in. Please can you encourage your children to dress independently, washing hands and discuss why it is important. We will continue to talk about Autumn time and changes to the environment. We’ll also be tasting healthy and unhealthy foods in small amounts and we’ll discuss what food does to our energy levels and fats and why our bodies need these.
