Dear Parents & Carers
What a lovely, busy, and exciting week we’ve had at preschool!
This week
Our story of the week was We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, and the children have absolutely loved bringing it to life. We’ve been swishing through grass, splashing through rivers and squelching through mud in lots of fun, hands-on activities. The children have really enjoyed retelling the story, joining in with repeated phrases, and using their imaginations during role play.
We’ve also been getting creative by exploring different textures inspired by the story, as well as building our very own “bear hunt” adventures both indoors and outdoors. It has been lovely to see such enthusiasm for storytelling and teamwork.
Next term
Looking ahead to next term, we’re very excited to begin our Easter activities alongside our new theme of Spring and Growing. The children will be planting seeds, including cress, and learning how to care for them as they grow. This is always a lovely opportunity to talk about nature, life cycles, and change.
Willow the Teddy has continued his adventures, visiting another home this week! He’s been helping with bedtime routines, including brushing teeth and settling down for sleep – what a helpful teddy he is! Thank you so much for sharing his journey with us; the children really enjoy hearing all about his visits.
We will be returning to preschool on 13th April and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another fun-filled term.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support . We hope you have a lovely and restful break .
Warm wishes,
The Preschool Team
