OOSC Newsletter Update
This half term kicked off with a magical Harry Potter themed week and it was a huge hit! The children absolutely loved it – especially “walking” through Platform 9¾. They got creative making their own wands, mixing magical potions, and enjoying delicious Butterbeer milkshakes (which were such a success, they’ll definitely be back on the menu!). There was also lots of imaginative role play and dressing up.
Cooking Club Fun
The children have been busy in the kitchen making cheese straws (a few even made it home!), savoury kebabs, melting moments biscuits, and beautifully decorated Easter cupcakes.
Science Experiments
We’ve had lots of fun exploring science! The skittle experiment was a big success – adding water made the colours run together to create a rainbow effect. We also experimented with kitchen roll and colours, watching how water can transfer colour across the paper. Static electricity was another favourite – rubbing balloons on hair and jumpers to make paper figures stand up!
Arts & Crafts Creations
Creativity has been flowing with World Book Day bookmarks, homemade squishies using balloons and beans, macramé rainbows, colourful Easter decorations and even nature wands made from outdoor treasures.
Easter Wishes
We hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing Easter break!
