What a busy and exciting week we’ve had at pre-school! The children have been full of curiosity, creativity and big smiles.
Understanding Ramadan & The Muslim Faith
This week we have been learning about Ramadan and the Muslim religion. We talked about why Ramadan is special for Muslims – a time for kindness, helping others and being thankful.
The children created some AMAZING crescent moon and star pictures which looked absolutely beautiful displayed around the room! We were so proud of their creativity and the care they took with their work.
Road Safety Fun
We’ve also been learning about traffic lights and what the different colours mean. The children played fun movement games – stopping on red, getting ready on amber and going on green! It was lots of fun and a great way to learn about keeping safe. They then painted wonderful traffic light pictures, carefully choosing colours and talking about what each one means.
Wonderful Wednesday – Signs of Spring
On our beautiful warm Wednesday, we went on a garden adventure to look for signs of spring! The children were so excited to find over 20 ladybirds! We also spotted daffodils blooming, tiny insects exploring, and buds growing on plants. There was lots of excitement, counting, gentle handling and fantastic noticing skills. We love these little moments of discovery – they create the biggest smiles!

World Book Day – Thursday 5th March 2026- We are excited to be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March 2026! Children are warmly invited to dress up as their favourite character. We can’t wait to see all of their wonderful costumes!
Easter Fayre – Saturday 14th March 2026
Our Easter Fayre will take place on Saturday 14th March 2026 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. We would love for you, your friends, and family to join us for an afternoon full of Easter fun and activities!
Sweetie Tombola Donations – We would be very grateful for donations of a bag of wrapped sweets for our Sweetie Tombola. Please drop them off at Preschool before Monday 9th March. Thank you so much for your support!
It has been a week full of learning, laughter and exploring. We are so proud of how curious, kind and enthusiastic the children continue to be.
