January Highlights
Cooking Club – This month the children have been very busy in the kitchen! They made: Mini muffin pizzas / Chocolate chip cookies / Freshly baked bread. The children did an amazing job kneading and shaping their dough into their own imaginative creations. The bread smelled absolutely delicious while it was baking, and everyone was very proud of their finished results!
Arts & Crafts Club – Creativity has been flowing in arts and crafts! The children have loved making: Wool pom-poms / Friendship bracelets / Shrinkies / Wool lollipop stick bookmarks The friendship bracelets and pom-poms have been so popular that the children keep requesting to make more – which we love to see!
February Highlights
Cooking Club – February has been full of fun treats! The children made: Frozen banana penguins dipped in chocolate and decorated with Smarties for their beaks and feet — they looked fantastic! / Yummy cheesy biscuits using a variety of cutters to create different shapes (and even designing some of their own!)
Arts & Crafts – The children have been very creative this month, making: Clay love heart–shaped trinket dishes and decorations / Beautiful cupcake case flowers ready for spring
Play Activities – The children have also been enjoying: New board games, especially Top Trumps / Building lots of Lego / Playing pool / Hide and seek / Role play / Drawing and colouring. The older children have enjoyed making the den extra cosy and decorating the cupboards with their own artwork. With the lighter evenings starting to arrive, the children have loved spending more time playing outside.
After Half Term
After half term, we have moved and rotated some activities so that different children have the opportunity to try new experiences. We are excited to announce that during our first week back we will be having a Harry Potter themed week!
