This Week at Preschool
Recycled Bird Feeders
The children made fantastic, recycled bird feeders and we spent time listening to the birds singing – it was very calm and relaxing.
Hide and Seek Fun
We played lots of hide and seek… although there was a lot of giggling and peeking through hands! It was very funny to watch and the children loved it.
Creative Creations
The children created some amazing artwork and models. We are so proud of their imagination, effort and creativity.
Outdoor Adventures
We wrapped up warm and ventured out into the cold weather to enjoy fresh air and outdoor play.
Arctic Animals
We explored Arctic animals and learned about where they live and how they survive in such cold places.
Work Experience Welcome
We have Sophie joining us for work experience on Mondays and Fridays. The children have already enjoyed listening to her read stories and playing fun games with her.
Coming Up Next Week
Chinese New Year
We will be learning about Chinese New Year, exploring traditions, stories and celebrations.
Shrove Tuesday
We will also be celebrating Shrove Tuesday – pancakes may be involved!
Staff News
Next week will be Richard’s last week with us. He has made the decision to move into something completely different.
We wish him all the very best – he will be hugely missed. He is so talented at what he does, and we will especially miss his wonderful stories about Lenny the Lion.
Half Term Reminder
Please don’t forget we break up for half term on Friday 13th February 2026. We wish you all a fun, safe and restful week with your families.
Makaton – Sign of the Week
Our sign next week is “play”. Please check out our poster, and YouTube has some great videos to show you how to sign at home. Using Makaton helps support children’s language development and is especially helpful for children who need a little extra support.
