Wow – what a hot week it’s been!
We’ve had to be extra careful in the heat, so we made sure the children stayed safe by avoiding time outside during the hottest parts of the day. We also had regular group drink stops to keep everyone well hydrated.
Despite the heat, we’ve had some magical adventures as fairies and pirates! The children enjoyed creating treasure maps and hunting for gold. There was some lovely sharing when children helped others who hadn’t found coins yet – such kindness!
This week, Mrs Challis and Mrs Donaldson came to visit and read a story to the children who are moving on to school. The children listened beautifully and even asked some great questions.
Next week: Caring for the Environment
We’ll be learning all about caring for the environment. We’ll talk about the importance of putting litter in the bin and how this helps protect animals and sea creatures.
Reminders:
• Please remember to bring named water bottles and sun hats each day
• Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap – apply suncream before the children arrive at Preschool!
Save the Date – End of Term Party!
Our end-of-term celebration will be held on Monday 22nd July in the afternoon. Parents are warmly invited to join us from 2:45pm for tea and cake, and to say a fond goodbye to our wonderful leavers.
Have a lovely weekend and remember to stay sun safe!
Thank you for your continued support!
Warm wishes,
The Preschool Team
