April
The children came back after the Easter holidays full of energy and wanting to carry on doing Easter themed crafts.
May
The children have enjoyed lots of outdoor play – football, netball/basketball, building obstacle courses, playing on the scooters, trikes and playing the outdoor games of 4-in-a-row and Jenga.
In cookery club the children have enjoyed making jam tarts, Biscoff, and chocolate milkshakes and marshmallows smores.
On Tuesdays’ arts and crafts club, the children had fun making their own paper plate jellyfish, painting pebbles and making their own paper kites.
Stem Challenge Wednesdays have been busy with lots of problem solving in den building, the children had fun making their own moving caterpillars out of kitchen roll paper.
The children have enjoyed Thursday’s messy play, and the children always ask if we are doing slime so on a couple of the weeks, we did bring back some slime making, one week was with chia seeds which worked well and also fluffy slime made with shaving foam.
We have had lots of water play and the children always enjoy playing at the mud kitchen and making lots of mud pies. They really enjoyed the coloured salt, mixing it together and putting it in bottles.
