Our adventures at the Playhouse this week…

It’s been absolutely wonderful to be back with your lovely little ones! We’ve jumped straight into a week full of sunshine, soil, and smiles.

We kicked things off by planting sunflower seeds and painting beautiful sunflower pictures. The children did a fantastic job helping tidy up our flower beds — they were so enthusiastic about clearing leaves and digging holes for new plants. While gardening, we discovered lots of wriggly worms! The children were so gentle and careful, moving them to a safe spot and observing their size, colour, and how they move.

Indoors, we’ve been learning all about recycling and how we can look after our planet. The children explored the different recycling bins and sorted items into the correct ones — a great way to build eco-friendly habits early on!

Thank you for your continued support!

Next Week, we will …
Continue with our sunflower planting project
We will be baking biscuits
We have a special visit from Ark Farm on Tuesday!

Ark Farm Visit – Tuesday 29th April 2025

Ark farm will be bringing in a number of animals to meet the children from 10.00am – 11.15am.

We have asked them to bring in, rabbits, a range of Guinea Pigs, Tortoise, Hedgehog, a dog, a Gecko Lizard, sugar Gliders, tree frog and fingers crossed, a Barn Owl.

If your child doesn’t usually attend on Tuesdays, you’re very welcome to join us for the session but you must book your place. You must stay with your child during the session. Please drop me an email before lunchtime on Monday 28th April to confirm you and your child will be attending. Many thanks.

Reminders …

Here are a few important reminders for the start of term:

• Please do not let your child press the green button to leave the Playhouse. This is for adults use only.
• Please do not hold the gate open for other parents. For safeguarding, we must ensure that staff allow access for everyone coming into the Playhouse gates. It is essential that you close the gate securely behind you.
• Grapes can be a choking hazard, please cut grapes up if they are in your child’s packed lunch
• Please name all items so we can reunite you with any missing items, from water bottles to clothes.
• Please can you make sure there are wipes in your child’s bag so we can clean any messy faces and noses.

Many thanks for all your help and support, its greatly appreciated. Thank you.
