Our adventures at the Playhouse this week…
We’ve had a busy week full of learning, creativity, and lots of fun!
This week the children have been learning all about Diwali, The Festival of light. They have made Diwali lanterns; the children used their fine motor skills to cut the lanterns … Jo and the children really enjoyed making and decorating the lanterns.. We also read ‘Rama & Sita – The Story of Diwali’.
We celebrated bonfire night; the children enjoyed mark making ‘firework patterns’ in the sensory tray .. using sand and glitter. They created some amazing firework pictures with paint and a carboard tube.
We’re looking forward to more adventures and discoveries next week!
Reminder: As the weather gets colder, please don’t forget to send your child with ‘named’ wellies and warm clothes for outdoor activities. Thank you!
Library books, please remember to bring them back weekly, and swop for a new one.
