This Week – We’ve done lots of painting with watercolours this week and the children have painted some beautiful pictures. Knitting has also been popular. The weather has caused some excitement in the afternoons – one-minute lovely sunshine and the next torrential rain where we’ve all had to rush indoors! When this has happened, we’ve had fun dancing.
Tuesday – Forest School – The children planted some vegetables in our garden and also dug over some soil to make a wildflower patch. Our den making was postponed due to the weather.
Wednesday – Games & Challenges – We held a chocolate hoops challenge with cereal hoops, and pasta. The aim was to see how may cereal hoops could be threaded onto a pasta stick in 30 seconds. The children finished off the competition by eating their hoops! We also had a selection of board games inside to play with.
Thursday – Craft & Sewing – We did some sewing and threading. This week we used wood; first the holes were made in the wood, the wood was sanded down and then the children threaded through the holes to make patterns.
Friday – Baking – The children will be preparing their own pizza, they will make their dough and adding a choice of toppings.
