We would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!
This Week – Welcome back to our children and families. This week has been a short week, but we’ve made snow, had the snooker table out and we were kindly gifted some activity books which the children have enjoyed using.
Thursday – The Children chose to stay inside, they were gaming and playing board games. The children made some snow using cornflour and conditioner mixed together. The children made their own magical scene using animals that live in the cold.
Friday – Baking – We will be making Cheesy Hearts (using the recipe for cheese straws). We will be mixing flour butter and cheese which will be rolled out into heart shapes or other designs.

Next week – Here are some of our planned activities for next week in the OOSC.
Monday – Craft Club – We will be making Hama bead designs and we will be using different shapes and colours. The children can choose their own design and they will be ironed and ready to take home.
Tuesday – Science Society – We will be investigating how snowshoes work.
Wednesday – Movie & Animation – The children will be able to decide on their movie and for the resources they would like for their animation.
Thursday – We will be having an evening around the fire with marshmallows toasted on a stick.
Friday – We will be making pizza pinwheels using puff pastry and a selection of pizza toppings for the filling. If you child has a favourite recipe and fancies making anything, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
