Sanitiser – Please can you sanitise your hands before pressing the buzzer at the gate as we head into the colder weather. Thank you .. let’s work together to reduce the risk of infection.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been sewing and using lots of technology, the children took turns really well to operate the remote-control car. Outside the children have enjoyed playing with balls and drainpipe, they were captivated watching the balls rolling down the pipes. They compared whose balls were running down the fastest, they also did excellent turn taking too. We have created some amazing leaf prints into clay! The children have been super helpful raking up the leaves in the garden this week, they’ve been using their physical skills to help us to care for the environment.
Forest School – In Forest School we read The Night Dragon. We talked about Colours in the sky from fireworks and the sunset. The children shared their experiences from Bonfire night, and we chose our favourite colour. The children used rosemary brushes to mix paint and experimented with creating new colours. Some painted fireworks, some dragons, and some rainbows. Then the children built a pretend bonfire as we illuminated it with tea lights. What a colourful and bright time we had!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Friday 18th November is Pudsey Day, and your child can wear something spotty to raise awareness for Children in Need. Your child can wear spots any day next week; please bring in a donation to help this worthy cause. We will be looking at texture, we’ll be painting with our hands and feet; old clothes can be worn as this is going to be a messy activity J. We will have a Post Office role play as we look at different occupations. We will walk to the Post Office on Friday.
