Last term – Here are a few pictures of the children making their Jubilee Afternoon Tea!
This Week – We’ve had a fun and busy start to our last term. We’ve spent lots of time outside making tea, playing with shaving foam, and painting with water as well as using our usual outdoor resources. Inside we’ve made playdough, coloured pictures, played with cars, board games and loom bands.
Monday – Gardening, Forest School & Woodwork – We moved the compost bin to a more appropriate place in the garden this week with the help of the children. We used some of the compost on our vegetables. We also did some weeding and tidying; everything has grown really well over the holiday.
Tuesday – Science Society – We used wire and pipe cleaners to make bubble wands and then used these to create bubbles with our bubble mixture. We talked about how bubbles are made and found out that bubbles are always sphere in shape regardless of the shape of the wand!
Wednesday –– Movie Club – Our movie Club has returned at the request of the children. This week we enjoyed popcorn whilst watching ‘Encanto’. This prompted some lovely singing.
Thursday – Craft Club – We used buttons to create pictures. The buttons were used as balloons, hot air balloons, flowers, centipedes, bubbles, and birds, as well as other ideas. The children came up with amazing and creative designs.
Friday – Baking – This afternoon will be making cheesy potato skins!

Next Week – Here are some of our planned activities for next week in the OOSC.
Monday – Gardening, Forest School & Woodwork – We will continue to tidy the garden and add more flowers to our beds. The children can also take part in some Wooden Nail Art, they will make patterns with nails which will be hammered into wood.
Tuesday – Science Society – We will continue to use bubbles as this was popular with the children and we will create bubble pictures.
Wednesday –– Movie Club – Next week’s film will be ‘Turning Red’.
Thursday – Craft Club – We will be using rolled paper to create 3D pictures.
Friday – Baking – We will be making giant smartie and chocolate chip cookies!
