Dear Parents / Carers
COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. We are seeing coughs and colds turning positive COVID too; if your child is unwell or showing any signs of a new cough or cold, please be mindful that it could be COVID, test if you wish and keep them at home. Thank you for your help!
Playhouse Activities This Week – It has been a super busy week at the Playhouse, we’ve been painting, and making lots of Jubilee creations. We’ve made Jubilee flags and bunting, and we’ve been reading Peppa Pig and the Queens Jubilee. The children learnt that the Queen is called Elizabeth, she’s 96 years old and has been queen for 70 years.
The children were absolutely amazing on Thursday for our filming day, we cannot wait to see how it turns out.
Forest School – In Forest School this week we read Peppa’s Royal Party and talked about the Jubilee. The children had a tea party and used their senses to explore the smells and colours. They created jubilee sticks, winding red, white, and blue wool around. They also used leaves, petals, and herbs to make nature pictures. They tested their scissor, pouring, scooping, sticking and winding skills. Great sharing too! Happy Jubilee everyone!
Playhouse Activities Next Term – Next term we will be learning about the Ocean and Summer and preparing for school.

Reminder: Sun Cream & Sun Hat – We know mornings are extremely busy, but we would be grateful if you could apply sunscreen in the morning. We will apply more at lunch time. Please can you also bring in a sun hat. Thank you.
Reminder: Scarlet Fever, Chicken Pox & Streptococcal – We have been advised by our early years Team that the UK Health Security Agency has seen elevated levels of Scarlet Fever, Chicken pox and Streptococcal infections. Group A Streptococcus is a bacterium which can colonise the throat, skin and anogenital tract. It causes a diverse range of infections, such as: tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and pneumonia.
Reminder: Change in Circumstances – If any of your personal or family circumstances change, please don’t hesitate to let us know so that we can help and support your child.
Any help? – Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.
Have a lovely half term!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
