Dear Parents / Carers
COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. We are seeing coughs and colds turning positive COVID too; if your child is unwell or showing any signs of a new cough or cold, please be mindful that it could be COVID, test if you wish and keep them at home. Thank you for your help!
Playhouse Activities This Week – It’s fantastic to be back and we hope you had a lovely Easter. We have already been learning about tadpoles and frogs. Please send in any pictures if you have any in your pond.
There has been lots of conversation about how many Easter eggs the children received. It has been lovely to hear all the fabulous things you have been up to throughout the easter break.
There have been some interesting meals being made at the mud kitchen this week. The blossom is in full bloom, and we have talked about Spring time.
Forest School – In Forest School this week we read A Little Bit Worried. It’s a book about how weasel is scared of different weather and how mole tells him the snow, wind and rain can be fun! We had fun too with pipes, conkers, cones, and trays. We explored weight, size, and speed. We counted items in the chocolate trays and used sticks to solve problems when the pipe was jammed. There was some great teamwork. The children explored the sounds that were made when items were rubbed and banged together. We also had fun with bubbles when it was breezy too. What fun!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We are learning about the ladybird life cycle. We will be planting sunflower seeds and tomato plants. The sunflowers will be coming home with thew children, and we would love to see any pictures of how they grow. We will be number matching; we will be using ladybird spots and numbers! On Tuesday morning we will be having a visit to the woods.
Any help? – Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
