Dear Parents / Carers
COVID – If your child tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. We are seeing coughs and colds turning positive COVID too; if your child is unwell or showing any signs of a new cough or cold, please be mindful that it could be COVID, test of you wish and keep them at home. Thank you for your help!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week the children experimented with sounds and musical instruments. They changed the tempo and took it in turns to listen to each other.
We created some beautiful rainbows this week; it was lovely to see all the different designs. At Storytime the children talked about caring for our teeth and they practised on our large model mouth!
Thank you very much for your donations for Red Nose Day, it was lovely to see lots of red in the Playhouse today! On a red theme, we also found lots of ladybirds in the garden this week.
Forest School – In Forest School this week we have been creating some Art. The children have been crayon rubbing around the garden, making patterns. They discovered the marks from wood, tyres, leaves, branches, and walls. They picked a bottle top and hammered it into the plank. They understood the need for safety and using protective glasses. We are going to continue to add to the plank to make more patterns during the spring and summer terms.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will be learning about Lambs and their life cycle. We will be sewing cress and we will be watching it grow.
Playhouse Changes – You may have noticed that our shed has disappeared; with the money raised from your fundraising we have purchased a shepherd’s hut. The children will be able to use this to relax and read. We will also hold some group sessions inside. Please keep an eye out for when it pops up!
Any help? – Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
