Dear Parents / Carers
COVID Update:
Here is the link to the latest Government Guidance for Early Years settings: What parents and carers need to know about early years providers, schools and colleges during COVID-19 – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week This week we have been enjoying learning all about the vets and had our own veterinary surgery! On Thursday we enjoyed harvesting our winter vegetables to prepare for our spring vegetables and bulbs! The children are also really enjoying woodwork at the moment and some of the children have been busy using the tools. The children found a worm in the flower bed; the children had fun holding and taking care of him.
Forest School – In Forest school this week we explored mud! We created our very own mud paint. The children collected the mud and the water. The children counted scoops and shared the stirring of the mixture. They painted pictures and the wooden branches and decorated them with herby sprinkles. Mud, mud, glorious mud!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week our theme is learning all about at the dentist, it would be fantastic to build on your child’s awareness of the importance of teeth brushing at home and brushing your teeth together! We will also be learning about bin men and litter pickers, and the importance of recycling!
Home activity – This week’s home activity is ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear’; this is an activity from Lisa’s visit on Friday and it’s all about reading a story together, making props for the story and going on a scavenger hunt! Have fun!!
Literacy Visit – For those parents who attended Lisa’s literacy session on Friday, please can you drop us a quick email with any feedback so that we can share this with Lisa. Many thanks.
Nut Free – Just a reminder that we are a nut free setting, please avoid any nut related foods in your child’s packed lunch. Thank you. If you would like any further advice, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Any help? – Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.
Spring Term Invoices – With a busy start to this short term your invoice will be a little later than expected. We will start to issue invoices next week with first instalments being due on 31st January 2022.
Thank you – Thank you to everyone who supported us in our Xmas Raffle, you raised an amazing £834; most of which will be fund matched by BGL. Thank you!!
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
