Children & PCR tests – If your child has a PCR test, please can you let us know and please confirm the result. Thank you.
This Week – Our Christmas theme started this week in the OOSC. We continued decorating the Playhouse using ivy as they do in Zimbabwe and the children wrapped presents which we then placed under our Christmas tree. We’ve had the Post Office role play throughout the week for posting our cards and parcels. We’ve also started making salt dough decorations which the children will be painting and taking home next week. We’ve also been cutting out paper snowflakes.
Competition – The Library monitors organised a Christmas book cover design, we had a great response with amazing designs. Poppy, Isabel, and Ava did a fantastic job at judging the designs. Our winner was Isla McGregor who won some ‘Pop its’ and all the runners up received a chocolate. Thank you to everyone who took part.
Next Week – Next week our theme of the week will be ‘Christmas’ and we have lots of festive activities planned. We will have all the following activites for every session:
Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday – We will be designing and making our own Christmas Crackers, the children can make up their own jokes too! We will be decorating glass jars with special glass paint. The children will be able to design their own Christmas jumper. They can make paper stars and snowflakes. We will be decorating our salt dough decorations and we will have lots of festive colouring, wordsearches and quizzes!
Outside activities all week: There will be connect 4, giant Duplo, the mud kitchen, construction vehicles and Meccano along with our role play tray.
