Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – It was an exciting Wednesday evening in OOSC, we had a visit from Chris from Zoolab with some of his animals. The children were able to hold and stroke a gecko, snake, rat, millipede, cockroach, and tarantula. They asked lots of questions about these and other exotic animals. A huge thank you to Chris for sharing his knowledge and animals with us. Throughout the week we have had a Moroccan theme. We smelt spices and used these in our playdough. The mud kitchen was used to make mint tea and spicy Moroccan ‘food’. We also made spiral snakes. We listened to lovely Moroccan music.
Here’s how Lacey described the visit form Zoolab: When Zoolab came to Helpston Playhouse everyone was so excited to hold some animals. We got to hold snakes, cockroaches, rats and lots more!
Next Week – Next week we will be going to Harry Potter World and this will be our theme for the week. We’ll be including all the activities below, along with Harry Potter colouring and word searches!
Monday – we will be making magic potions and broom sticks
Tuesday – we will be making and decorating a Hedwig the Owl biscuit and making a mini Harry Potter family using tubes
Wednesday – we will play pin the glasses on Harry and we’ll be making the origami paper fortune tellers to find out which House the children are in
