Dear Parents / Carers
We hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday, it’s lovely to have the children back in our breakfast and out of school clubs.
This Week – We have had a harvest festival theme on our return to the OOSC this week. We have harvested fruit and vegetables from our garden and planted seeds to grow some new ones. We designed and played with a farm scene. We have used leaves for cutting out shapes and threading. On Thursday we made and shaped our own bread rolls. We have spent lots of time outside in the garden playing cricket, football, tennis and riding the scooters. We have also had the water table and water toys out, as well as using the drainpipes as car runs. It’s been a busy week!
Next Week – Next week we will be starting our ‘Around the World theme’ and we will be visiting Poland. We will be learning about Polish traditions and sampling Polish food.
Reminders – Here are a few polite but very important reminders:
We are a Nut Free Setting – Please do not bring any nuts or nut related products into the Playhouse.
John Clare Staff Car Park – Parents / Grandparents can use the car park from 7.30am – 8.00am and then after 4.00pm. You can use the car park anytime if you are permitted to use a disabled parking space. Please be mindful that school staff will be using the car park during these hours. Thank you.
Sharing Ideas – All the Children attending our sessions have an opportunity to share their ideas. Ideas and requests can be written on post it notes and added to our board in the main room of the Playhouse. If your child is not sure what to do, please ask.
Update from our Committee – AGM – Please see the attached flyer from our committee. We have a few vacancies and an upcoming AGM!
Staff Updates – Rosanna has joined our team; she’s already met some of your children and is settling in well to the Playhouse.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
