A few words from Lucy: Thank you to everyone on working together and following the Covid guidelines, social distancing and wearing your face coverings. We really appreciate your efforts and support. We wish you a fabulous Easter, eat lots of chocolate and we will see you on Tuesday 13th April 2021.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have busy learning about the Christian story of Easter. We have created some Easter wreaths and chicks. We have eaten some delicious Easter cakes after our Easter egg hunt around the garden (kindly made by Lucy’s daughter, Harmony). We have also been learning about Down syndrome and we created our own blue and yellow handprints and a large group love heart to highlight our support for Down’s Syndrome week.
Forest School – In Forest school this week we read Spikes Nest and talked about the birds laying eggs. The children built nests for their woolly birds using sticks and leaves from the garden, just like real birds. The nests looked so cosy. The children then helped to build a wooden bird house, using hammers and nails. We talked about safety and how to use the tools. We listened to the birds and sang bird songs.
Playhouse Activities Next Term – Next term we will be looking at life cycles, and the Hungry Caterpillar story.
Any help? – Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any support, ideas or just a chat we are always available.
