Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – It has been sensory week in the OOSC this week. We have had gloop, playdough, shaving foam and sand to play with. The playdough has been used to make Christmas shapes with beads, buttons, ribbons and herbs as decorations. The children have also made decorations for our Christmas tree display in readiness for the start of our Christmas activities. The older children have really enjoyed playing chess this week and on Friday morning Twister got everyone awake and alert at the start of the day. A castle appeared in the KS1 outdoor play area this week and the children have really enjoyed playing with it; they also created their own indoor castle using cardboard and wooden blocks.
Next week – Next week will start our Christmas activities, we have lots of ideas! We will be decorating cardboard boxes and turning them into gingerbread houses. We will also bake.
OOSC Christmas Party – We will be holding two Christmas Parties this year, KS1 and KS2. KS1 will be held on Wednesday 16th December and KS2 will be held on Tuesday 15th December. If your child does not normally attend on those dates and you would like him/her to attend the Christmas Party please feel free to book them in for that session, please just send us an email.
AmazonSmile – We are now registered with AmazonSmile, so if you use Amazon for any of your shopping, please consider shopping via smile.Amazon.co.uk and selecting Helpston Playhouse and Under Fives as your charity to support. Same Amazon range, same prices, but at no extra cost to you Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to the Playhouse to help with our fundraising.
Invoice Payments – Final invoice payments for this term are due on or before Monday 30th November 2020. If you are experiencing any financial difficulties due to the current COVID-19 epidemic or would like to discuss your account further, please do not hesitate to contact Sam.
