Dear Parents / Carers
This Week in the OOSC – On Monday we celebrated Chinese New Year and enjoyed noodles with sweet and sour sauce. We use chopsticks to eat them .. this was great fun! We made some chocolate brownies and ate them after our snack on Thursday evening.
Next Week in the OOSC – Next week, the 4th February is Homemade Soup Day & we will be making tomato soup and bread. We will also be painting, requested by Julia.
Do you have any spare egg boxes? If you do, please can you bring them in for us to use. Thank you.
Magnetic Ball Craze – A Doctor in the UK has issued a serious warning to parents over a potentially deadly magnetic ball craze which has left at least four children needing surgery. The trend involves youngsters placing small magnetic balls inside their mouth to mimic tongue and cheek piercings. If swallowed, the ball-bearing magnets stick to each other through loops of gastrointestinal tract and can cause bowel perforation or intestinal blockage. Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
