Forest School This Week – This week forest school was postponed.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will be reading Billy Goats Gruff and we’ll be doing a puppet show too! We’ll start with our cress heads. We’ll be learning about Chinese New Year and looking at some of their costumes. We will be practising our whisking skills whilst making Angel Delight.
Help Us, Help You – NHS England and NHS Improvement have now launched Pharmacy Advice, the latest phase of the Help Us, Help You campaign. The campaign encourages us all to ‘take the drama out of minor illnesses’, raising awareness of the services offered by pharmacies. Pharmacies are the first place to go to for clinical advice and treatment for minor health concerns. Watch out for the posters in our cloakroom!
Some Useful Information: What is the coronavirus and should I be concerned? A coronavirus is a type of virus. As a group, coronaviruses are common across the world. Typical symptoms of coronavirus include fever and a cough that may progress to a severe pneumonia causing shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. This Coronavirus is a new strain first identified in Wuhan City, China. No confirmed cases of Wuhan coronavirus have been detected in the UK and we currently consider the risk to the UK population to be low.
Exit from the Playhouse grounds – Just a gentle reminder that children are not permitted to use the Green Exit button by the side of the Playhouse gates. To ensure safeguarding of all children, please don’t allow your child to use this button, the gate must be opened and closed by adults only. If children start to use the button and exit the playhouse they might let themselves out without you or staff being aware. A child might also let another person into the Playhouse grounds who we are not aware of. Thank you very much for your help in this matter, this will ensure we maintain a very safe environment for all our children.
Lost Green Scooter – Has your child lost their scooter? John Clare School have made us aware that there has been a small green scooter parked in their Scooter Bay for some time. If your child has lost their scooter, please pop along and take a look.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
