Dear Parents / Carers
Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘r’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘r’!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have had an environmental shape hunt, we’ve continued to look at road safety. We’ve had a look at ‘under the sea’ and we’ve been busy learning our Christmas songs. We’ve also played number bingo.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we will continue with our Under the sea theme and we’ll look at jellyfish; we’ll be making and using jelly for sensory activities! We will practice our Christmas songs. We will be doing some mathematical thinking and we’ll be doing some work around our story sacks.
Xmas Decorations & junk modelling – Do you have any Christmas decorations and /or junk modelling that you no longer need? If you do, please bring them into the Playhouse, we need all of these items for our planned activities.
Items for our Christmas Hamper – We would be very grateful if you would kindly donate items for our Xmas Hamper for the Wreath Making Event. Here are a few suggested items; Christmas cake, mince pies, chocolates, wine, candles etc.. please can you give any donations to a member of staff. Thank you. Raffle tickets will be available on the night.
Named Clothes – Please ensure that all clothes for your child are named. It is very difficult for staff to know which clothes belong to which child especially as there are lots of hats, scarves and gloves. To make our job just a little easier and to help find missing items it is essential that items are labelled. We have parents who use ‘My Nametags’, these labels are easy to use, they are self-adhesive, they are washing machine and dishwasher proof too. If you would like some details, please ask a member of staff. This is a school requirement too; name labels are so handy!!
3.15pm Pick up – Please can you remind grandparents and friends who are collecting your child that the buzzer won’t be answered until 3.10pm each afternoon. This is to ensure that our story time isn’t interrupted. Thank you.
Playhouse Christmas Carols – Please could you supply your child with a costume, can be homemade for our Christmas carols. Anything festive from angels, kings, shepherds, Mary, Joseph, elves to Santa… it will just add to the Christmas magic!
Book Party – Please come in and have a look at the amazing offers! If you see any books on line and they’re not here at the Playhouse, please let us know and Tammy will happily bring them in for you to view.
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
