Dear Parents / Carers
Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘j’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘j’!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we’ve had a busy week in the Playhouse! We’ve started our theme of ‘Under the Sea’; the children have been making their own jellyfish for our display, we’ve been talking about jellyfish and octopus! We’ve had our first session with Tatty Bumpkin, we all enjoyed this experience and look forward to seeing them again next week! We’ve been practising with scissors and we can see the children’s skills improving already! Thursday was World Book Day, we had lots of new characters in the Playhouse, thank you for helping us celebrate this great day! And finally today, we had our first weekly session in the John Clare School Wildlife area, we had great fun despite the rain! We’ve been on a worm hunt and we also made a wormery!
Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – We will continue with our theme of ‘Under the Sea’, the children are really enjoying this and we’ll base all of our activities around this theme! We will talk about sharks and whales. We will also have a talk about Fireman and we’re really lucky as we’ll have a fireman’s uniform to try on!
Dates for your diary:
Tuesday 28th March – Leavers photograph, this is for the children leaving us to go to Primary School in September, 1.30pm.
Saturday 1st April – Easter Fayre at John Clare School.
Easter Fayre – The Eater Fayre is on it’s way… here are a few things you can do to help us make this a great event… We will need cakes on the day if you enjoy baking and we will be sending out jars for our Sweetie Tombola, please can you fill the jar with wrapped sweets! The children love this stall!
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
