Dear Parents / Carers
Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ‘l’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘l’!
Playhouse Activities This Week – We have had the most amazing week! We’ve continued with our hibernation theme. We’ve been busy planting bulbs in the garden and we’ll look at their growth over time. We’ve also made pizza’s! And we have had some fantastic visitors in the Playhouse this week, one of our Playhouse mum’s, Alexa, a Dental Nurse came in on Tuesday to talk about our teeth and keeping them healthy. The children loved this session & were kindly given a toothbrush and toothpaste! On Friday, there was a real buzz in the Playhouse as the Police came to visit. One of OOSC Dad’s, Graham and a colleague brought in their Police van….what a great experience, the children had a talk, sat in the police van (where the criminals are locked up), set off the siren, tried on police helmets and uniform & then the policemen read them all a story! It’s been amazing!
Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – Next week we will continue with a police theme, we will make cakes and we really hope to get out on our walk in the village to look at more environmental shapes, this was postponed for the police visit. We will also continue with hibernation and we’ll take a look at snakes!
Thank you – We have a couple of big Thank you’s this week!
