Dear Parents / Carers
Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ’l’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’l’.
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is yellow! Please can your child bring in a yellow item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve been talking to the children about the life cycle of a frog and have taken a look at our tadpoles which are still developing into frogs in our ‘pond’! We have also taken a look at weight and have continued with our topics of Spring & Road safety.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We are going to be making flapjacks! We will also make a collage to show our Colours of the week! We will take a look at the life cycle of small animals e.g. caterpillar and will continue with our Road Safety theme. We will also undertake some work on number recognition.
Parking at John Clare Primary – As we have a number of new parents to the Playhouse, this is just to let you know that we are unable to use the John Clare School Car park for dropping off and colleting children from the Playhouse. These restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of the children coming in and out of school and to ensure that wherever possible, staff can park within the school grounds and not impact on the surrounding residents by parking all day outside local homes.
A few dates for your diary:
Comedy Night – Friday 20th May 2016, please see the attached flyer.
John Clare School Fete – Saturday 16th July, the Playhouse will have a stall at this year’s Fete and will also receive some of the funds raised by this great event! Hurfords Estate Agents have agreed to promote the Fete on some of their sale boards. If you would be happy for one of these boards to be displayed in your front garden Hurfords will donate £20 for each board displayed. Please contact Rachel Brownlow on 07792 619256 or 01733 252389 if you wouldn’t mind having a board in your garden!
Bank Holiday – The Committee would like to wish you all a ‘Very good Bank Holiday weekend’!
Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
