Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter after half term will be ‘v’. Please can your child bring in an item which has a ’v’.
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is dark red! Please can your child bring in a dark red item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – We have been busy making fruit kebabs and have continued to look at our healthy diet. The children have been involved with our Ecco School and did a tally on how they came to Preschool. We’ve made wooden sculptures using twigs! We’ve also looked at caring for our animals and Lucy brought in her dog Maisy for the children to meet.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – It’s Sports Relief next week! We are holding a sponsored dance and cake sale on Wednesday 16th March, all parents, grandparents and friends welcome at 2.30pm to watch this event and buy cakes which the children will decorate for you! Please can you return your sponsorship form by Friday 18th March 2016! We will also start to look at the Easter Story and we’ll be planting seeds in trays ready for the garden later this year!
Easter Fayre – Saturday 19th March 11.00am – 1.00pm – We need you…. Can you help with any of the following….:
- Sweetie Jars will be coming home with your child, please can you fill a jar with ‘wrapped’ sweets and return to the Playhouse
- Donations for the Raffle and Tombola
- Do you work for a company or know anyone who would like to donate a substantial prize for our Raffle, if you do, please can you speak to a member of the Committee. Thank you.
- Bake a cake – Would you like to bake a cake for our Cake stall!
- ‘Nearly new stall’ for toys and books – Do you have any toys or books you could donate for our ‘Nearly new stall’? We’ll happily take these from you!
Reminders: Phonics Workshops – There are two sessions remaining: Tuesday 15th March at 2.45pm and Friday 18th March at 9.00am. Photographs – If you would like to order any photographs, please return your envelope and payment by Wednesday 16th March.
Online Safety – We have our guidelines to follow for our Safeguarding and thought it Oprudent to highlight security and gaming on the internet (inc phones & tablets). A big Thank you – Apologies for missing this last week but a very ‘big thank you’ to John Sowinski who helped construct the new bridge in the Playhouse garden! Your help was very much appreciated and you were definitely not forgotten!
