Dear Parents / Carers

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Testing for COVID – If your child goes for a COVID test, please don’t forget to let us know. We need to report any cases to our Early Years Team for Track & Trace purposes and where required, we will notify parents, carers and staff if they need to self-isolate. This is really important to ensure that we can keep each other, our families and our staff safe. Thank you.

This Week – This week in OOSC we enjoyed the snow so much we attempted to make our own snow (minus the cold and wet). Although it didn’t feel like snow, we were still able to make mini snowmen and igloos with it. We made fruit kebabs which tasted delicious. As the evenings are getting lighter, we spent some time outside in the garden enjoying the milder and drier weather this week (after the snow). Indoors in the OOSC board games have been popular with Twister being a favourite.

Next Week – Next week we will be making bird feeders to put around the garden and we will see how many birds we can attract. We will be baking bread and shaping them into hedgehogs.

RSPB – This weekend is the Big Garden Bird Watch. Here is the link if you would like to take part: Big Garden Birdwatch | Join the fun – The RSPB

Have a lovely weekend! Stay safe and well!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
