Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update. We hope you are all keeping safe and well.

This Week – We have looked at people that help us in our community and the world around us. We’ve been trying really hard to keep cool in this beautiful weather, using the shade for a little respite. We’ve been playing and doing activities requested by the children, they have been happy and having lots of fun.

Next week – Next week we will continue with our relaxed, children led activities. They have had so much fun choosing activities it has been lovely to see.

Sun Hat & Clothing – The weather this week has been amazing but, very hot for the children and staff! Please can you ensure your child’s clothing is appropriate and has a named sun hat; we understand this can sometimes be a little tricky when the forecast is changeable. On hot sunny days, please can you apply sun cream before your child attends the Playhouse. This is such a great help. Thank you.

Tapestry Activities – Rachel has added an activity on Tapestry for you this week and it’s all about sun safety and sharing a lovely story together called George the Sunsafe superstar! It’s a fantastic story all about being sun safe in a fun and age appropriate way!

Forest School – This week our Forest school is all about having a Teddy Bear’s Picnic. In your garden or maybe on a walk, take a picnic and enjoy the outside. Listen to the birds, smell the flowers, lay back and looks for shapes and pictures in the clouds. Maybe take a book and read a story .. if you are feeling inspirational make up a story of your own. Amanda has put this all on Tapestry for you including the song ‘If you go down to the woods today’. Enjoy!

Have a lovely weekend, stay safe and well!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
