Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have enjoyed sport with Richard. We enjoyed going on holiday; the children pretended to put on suncream. They also pretended to have ice creams with cones and used bean bags which they had to throw and catch onto the cone! We had lots more fun games. We have been sculpting with clay. We’ve also enjoyed building with hollow blocks and the children decided to build the Three Billy Goats Gruff bridge, they also retold the story in their play. The children also made a house and stage using the hollow blocks and put on a great dance show. We celebrated Shrove Tuesday and enjoyed pancakes with jam or syrup.

Forest School This Week This week we were rained off but, we will ensure that we have lots of fun experiences next week by looking at bugs and birds.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will look at the Indian Ocean and we’ll talk about the animals that live in the ocean and plastic pollution. We will learn new Nursery Rhymes .. There’s a Hole in My Bucket, Goosey Goosey Gander and If You Go Down To the Woods Today. We will enjoy lots of activities around those rhymes and we’ll read the books together. We will celebrate World Book Day on Thursday and we’ll be celebrating literacy. Rachel has had some very successful Lteracy Workshops. Thank you to everyone who attended. If you would still like to attend, please speak to Rachel. Your child can dress up as their favourite book character. We will pop over to John Clare School and we’ll join them for a short while in their World Book Day Assembly. Please arrive promptly at 9.00am so that we can join the assembly quickly. Thank you.
