Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘w’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘w’.

Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘mummy’.

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been making bread sticks & we will continue this after half term so that all the children have a go! We have also started to plant our vegetable beds. We also had a look at the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

Forest School This Week This week we read Fergus the Seadog and we talked about how to recognise wind and that wind can be fun! We explored movement in the wind with ribbons. We also went on a treasure hunt to find natural objects for our wind mobile.

Playhouse Activities Next Session – After half term we will look at people around the world and how we are all different and unique. Please don’t forget to add your activities on Tapestry .. we would love to see what you get up to!

Diary Dates – Here are a few dates for your dairy.
W/c 2nd March – World Book Week & the 5th is World Environment Day
W/c 9th March – Hindu Celebration – Holi
W/c 16th March – World Down Syndrome Week

Mobile library Bus – We would like to make you aware that the Mobile Library Bus will be coming to Helpston on the Wednesday 19th February between 10.40am – 11.10am, near the entrance to the John Clare School.. you can’t miss it!! You are very welcome to call in and choose a book .. the Library bus comes to Helpston once a month and the children love popping on the bus and selecting new books. It’s a great opportunity to encourage reading. We hope you can make it and please send us some pics of your visit.
