Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘e’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘e’.

Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘Daddy’.

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have had a fantastic time celebrating Halloween and doing lots of crafts, games and dancing. We’ve been observing the changes within the environment; leaves falling off the tress. Our physical activities have included cosmic yoga and the bean game. Richard from Tiny Tykes used Colin the Crocodile for understanding, kindness and friendships for his themed activities. The children have been learning about space and they have taken a real interest .. we decided to spread our learning to include lots of facts. They have been creating rockets so they visit space!

Forest School This Week This week we read Room on the Broom .. we’ve made lotions and potions using natural resources.

Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we will continue with the space theme as the children have been very interested in this topic. We will make giant rockets and planets and we’ll have lots of space themed activities. We will have space sensory play with moon sand and playdough. We will have a puppet show and we will also carry out some leaf painting. We will also have a cooking session. In our Forest School the children will be looking at what happens when you put pressure on apples & they’ll make apple juice!

World Kindness Day – This is being held on the 13th November 2019. It is a day to celebrate and promote kindness in all its forms.

Bonfire Safety Bonfire night is every exciting for children but can be very dangerous. For some comprehensive advice on firework safety, please visit:  www.capt.org.uk/fireworks
